Finland’s population is made of 6 main ethnic groups: Finn 93.4%, Swede 5.6%, Russian 0.5%,
Estonian 0.3%, Roma (Gypsy) 0.1% and Sami 0.1%. 91.5% of the population speak Finnish (the official language), 5.5% speak Swedish (also official) and 3% speak other languages ( there are small Sami- and Russian-speaking minorities) (2006). |
